The National Child and Family Hubs Network hosted a planning day with over 50 critical friends in Melbourne on Monday 26 February. Held at the North Fitzroy library, a range of sectors were represented on the day including lived experience, research, policy, advocacy, government, Hub implementation and philanthropy. The planning day aimed to identify priority areas for the National Child and Family Hubs Network over the next 2 -5 years.
Highlights of the day included Uncle Billy Garvey’s Welcome to Country, a strong collaborative approach, participants’ generosity in sharing experiences and strategic advice, engaging facilitation from Emily Jenke of democracyCo and catering by the Moroccan Soup Bar.
The team is using the ideas generated during the planning day to develop a draft strategy for the National Child and Family Hubs Network over the next 2-5 years.
Email molly.peterson@mcri.edu.au for a copy of the draft strategy and to share your ideas.
